Casita Esperanza Kids is the flagship program of Hines Kids Foundation. It was created to support children and caregivers in Venezuela who are facing the effects of crisis, family disruption, displacement, loss, or vulnerable living conditions.
The program brings together child-focused activities, caregiver education, emotional and communication tools, educational support, faith-inspired encouragement, professional collaboration, and ongoing follow-up. Its purpose is to help families restore stability, strengthen relationships, and create a healthier path forward.
Why the Program Was Created
Emergency Relief Is Important. Long-Term Support Is Essential.
After a crisis, immediate assistance may address food, shelter, transportation, or urgent safety. Yet children and caregivers often continue carrying fear, grief, confusion, disrupted routines, learning gaps, and emotional pressure long after the first response ends. Casita Esperanza Kids was created to remain present during that next stage—to help families rebuild daily life, restore connection, and move forward with practical support and hope.
Who the Program Serves
The program is designed for children and their primary caregivers, including parents, grandparents, relatives, guardians, foster caregivers, and other responsible adults who have assumed the daily care of a child during or after a crisis.

How the Program Works

Referral or Identification A child or family is referred through community contacts, shelters, partner organizations, caregivers, or approved outreach activities.

Initial Intake The team gathers basic information about the child, caregiver, current situation, immediate concerns, and available support system.

Needs Review The program team reviews emotional, educational, communication, family, safety, and practical needs to determine the most appropriate level of support.

Support Plan A child- and caregiver-centered plan is created using approved program tools, available professionals, group activities, digital resources, or personalized services.

Participation Children and caregivers participate in scheduled activities, learning support, caregiver guidance, professional sessions, community connection, and follow-up.

Progress Review The team documents attendance, participation, observed needs, referrals, completed activities, and progress indicators while protecting confidentiality.

Continued Support or Transition Families may continue, transition to lighter support, receive a professional referral, or complete the program according to their needs and the program’s capacity.

Program Team
Casita Esperanza Kids is being developed through the collaboration of program leaders, educators, child-development professionals, communication and language specialists, therapists, coaches, volunteers, caregivers, spiritual leaders, and community partners. Team participation will be based on program needs, professional qualifications, training, background checks where applicable, and child-protection requirements.
Current Stage
The program is currently in its development and launch phase. Hines Kids Foundation is organizing its local team, training materials, operational procedures, community relationships, digital resources, and plans for a safe physical center in Venezuela. Updates will be shared as each stage is completed and verified.
