About Hines Kids Foundation
A Foundation Built From a Genuine Desire to Serve
We believe every child is a gift from God and deserves to grow feeling loved, protected, supported, and able to build a future filled with purpose.
Where Compassion Became a Mission
Hines Kids Foundation was born from a shared and deeply personal desire to serve children.
For years, Matt Hines and Gaby Hines carried the dream of helping, caring for, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people. Their desire to serve was not a temporary response to a single event; it was part of the way they understood family, faith, and responsibility toward others.
That vision grew stronger through their collaboration with Andreina Ocariz, whose experience supporting children, communication, behavior, language development, and caregivers helped shape an approach centered on emotional stability, practical routines, education, and compassionate guidance.
Together, Matt, Gaby, and Andreina founded Hines Kids Foundation to create structured, sustainable programs for children and families facing vulnerable circumstances. The foundation’s first flagship initiative, Casita Esperanza Kids, begins this mission by supporting children and caregivers in Venezuela as they recover from crisis, rebuild stability, and move toward a future filled with hope.
Our Values
What Hope Means to Us
Hope is the certainty that every child has purpose, value, and a future that can be built when they receive love, protection, guidance, and opportunities.
What a Child Means to Us
A child is a gift from God who deserves to be protected, loved, guided, and given the opportunity to grow into the purpose for which they were created.
Our Philosophy of Service
We listen before we act. We strengthen families rather than replace them. We serve the whole child by considering emotional well-being, education, relationships, routines, faith, community, and the needs of the caregiver. We believe support should be compassionate, organized, measurable, and sustained long enough to help families move from crisis toward stability.
